Manthorpe Building Products Supports National Campaign to Address Skills Shortages in the Building Materials Sector

At Manthorpe Building Products, we are proud to support the Building Materials Careers campaign, led by the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF). This national initiative is focused on addressing the growing skills shortage in the building materials sector, and we are excited to be a part of it.

With over 35 years of experience, we’ve built a strong reputation as a leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-quality building solutions. Our extensive range of plastic injection-moulded, vacuum-formed, and extruded products has earned the trust of builders, contractors, and industry professionals across the UK.

Through our involvement in the BMF’s campaign, we aim to help tackle the skills gap in our industry. The campaign highlights the fantastic career opportunities within the sector, with a particular focus on areas such as sustainability, innovation, and improving productivity on building sites.

The Building Materials Careers website provides a platform for companies like ours to share their stories, showcasing the exciting and diverse roles available in the industry. We believe that by engaging with school leavers, trainees, and those considering a career change, we can encourage more people to consider building materials as a rewarding career path.

The campaign was launched In London, ahead of National Apprenticeship Week, to raise awareness about the importance of attracting new talent to the sector. The BMF and its members recognise that it’s crucial to continue evolving as an industry, and that means bringing in fresh ideas, skills, and expertise to help drive us forward.

At Manthorpe, we’re deeply committed to supporting the growth and development of our team. Our careers portal is one of the keyways we offer opportunities for individuals to join us and build a career in the building materials industry.

Whether it’s through professional development, ongoing training, or a focus on health and safety, we provide a supportive and inclusive environment where our people can thrive.

By participating in the Building Materials Careers campaign, we are doing our part to help address the skills shortage and ensure the continued success of the industry.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you can make a meaningful impact, we invite you to explore the career paths we offer.
