As proud members of the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), we are pleased to support Data Yard, the centralised product data platform developed by Building Materials Digital Services, a joint venture between the BMF and NMBS, serving as a central data platform for the building materials industry. Since joining in February, we have been consistently working on our data within the platform.
Data Yard enables manufacturers to submit their product data in one place, while giving buying groups and merchants a single, reliable source of information. It enables suppliers to upload and maintain control of their data, determining who can access, view and download it, while authorised users, including merchants, buying groups, and wider industry stakeholders, can access consistent product information whenever they need it.
For Manthorpe and our suppliers, being part of Data Yard means our product information is held to a consistent, industry-recognised standard, reducing duplication of effort and the inconsistencies that have traditionally slowed down data exchange across the supply chain.
