Thermal cavity closers prevent heat loss at key potential weak points in the cavity construct, at door and window reveals – heat loss that is both costly and avoidable. By solving cold bridging problems, properly installed thermal cavity closers can prevent condensation build up, damp and mould growth potentially leading to expensive repair work.
Manthorpe’s cavity closers can act as effective vertical DPCs, although a dedicated DPC is recommended when used in a horizontal configuration. Furthermore, thanks to careful design and construction, they also offer maximum flexibility to configure to multiple size and dimensions requirements, including arched and round windows and doors.
