Product Testing & Accreditation

Testing is an integral part of our design process; it helps us to ensure that the products we design are up to the task and gives our customers the confidence that they have the right product for the job. The wide variety of products that we manufacture means that we service several key areas of the build process, each of these areas requiring its own set of testing parameters.

From air leakage testing to meet Part L requirements, fire testing to ensure Part B compliance, to driving rain, high speed wind and load testing, our products are rigorously tested to the relevant British Standards.

Browse the testing categories in our downloads library to view our test certification, BBA approval documents and CE marking DoP information.

BIMshelf Downloads

The way that we design buildings is changing; the 2D CAD drawing may soon be joining its hand drawn predecessors on the great drafting table in the sky, and it’s all down to BIM!

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the new standard for construction design, dragging plan and elevation views into a 3D world and bringing a wealth of helpful information along with it. BIM objects, like those below, can be used to produce a virtual representation of a building before a single brick has been laid, and it’s not just about aesthetics either. Intelligent information within each BIM component can help the designer to assess a vast range of parameters from simple fit and function, to energy usage and projected lifespan, this information is key to help design not only how the project is built, but also how it will perform in use.

Manthorpe Building Products has partnered with the BIMStore to help provide you with the highest standard of BIM content around. Our selection of BIM ready products can be found here.

Project Specific Take Off Services

For larger projects we offer builders, architects and developers a free of charge, project specific take off service for abutment cavity trays and rigid frame formers. Simply send us the elevation drawings (cavity trays) or the window schedule (frame formers) and we will calculate the type and quantity of products you require for your project.

Abutment Cavity Trays >

Whether it is a simple straight run, or a complex stepped abutment that wraps around 2 corners, Manthorpe’s in-house specialists can review project drawings and advise the builder of the right type and quantity of cavity trays they require for their project.

With a small amount of information about the wall construction and the elevation drawings of the detail, quotes can be easily produced on a specific detail, a whole plot or an entire site. Trays can also be quoted with or without lead, unleaded trays come as standard, but various lengths of code 4 or 5 lead can also be pre-fixed to the trays before shipping.

Rigid Frame Formers >

The Manthorpe rigid frame former is a faster, more efficient and cost-effective alternative to made-on-site timber equivalents. The units are a dummy former and cavity closer rolled into one; they are strong, quick to install and are designed to improve efficiency and save man hours.

Ready assembled or flat packed, choose the option that suits you best – either pre-made or cut-to-length, palletised flat packs. Easy to transport and easy to store on-site, the flat pack version has proven to be extremely popular in tests, reducing clutter (no more piles of frames) and leading to quicker, better organised ways of working. Assembly is easy and fast – just click to fit.
